There�s a lot more to fishing than just catching fish!

Alright ,I am the first to admit that often times I lose sight of the fact that fishing has a lot more benefits than just catching fish. My wife is constantly reminding me of the fact that memories can be made that will out last the catching. (Catching is still a great incentive but there�s more to it than that.)

Recently I got to take 1 of my 4 grand daughters fishing. Her 2 sisters wanted to hang out with Grandma and their cousin is out of the country.
Sooo � off we went.

First cast and we had �Fish on�



We caught several more � even Mom caught a few.



Dad caught his share as well




And Grandpa � well he un-hooked the fish.



When the fishing slowed we looked for another fishing hole



and along the way we saw some wild onions.

So we took some more back for Grandma.



We also caught some rollie pollies � 5 or 6 rollie pollies. Only one of them made it back to the car. (I bet the other 5 were relieved.) We also saw where the wild hogs had been rooting around and we looked for deer along the way (didn�t see any deer but we saw where they had been).

Before we left we saw a man catching bait - he caught a bunch of shad - this was one of the bigger ones - 10 inch shad, boy that was a big one -



Memories were made that will not quickly fade � especially when I look at a few simple pics - I know I won't forget and I bet she won't either -



Yep - there's more to fishing than just catching fish.


Next time her 2 sisters want to go along as well!
