I have watched every fishing show and every tournament that I could since I was a kid and I think it was a really great show with a great format. Lots of fish catching footage and if you pay attention, you can learn a lot as well. Ish is not my favorite either but seeing him catch fish after fish on the same docks that other guys were fishing by throwing a 1.5 ounce weight in ultra clear water was a lesson that I will never forget. As well as seeing Denny smash them because of his knowledge of pitching and flipping docs and realizing how important bait placement is by seeing a Pro outfish the other Pro's that dramatically.

All around great show and hope it continues. I don't really care how the Pro's are making money on it as long as they are. They work hard at their jobs just like we all work at ours and the more money they make and the better formats that get created, the better the sport of professional bass fishing will be in the future.

Appologies to the OP for jacking his thread but seems like I remember hearing that the pros were the ones that started MLF.Is that the case??

Hey I shouldn't be hating. Y'all are doing something different, it's making a lot of mula probably, and your doing what you love. And doing it all over the country! I just don't see how the pros are able to schedule this in. They have to be some pretty busy people!

The Major League Fishing format showcases just how prepared and dedicated these Pro Anglers are. These Anglers are so dedicated to bass fishing, and have honed their skills to such an elite degree, they are able to hit an unknown body of water and start landing fish almost immediately. These guys are so prepared and dedicated, they are able to succeed without practice. Major League Fishing shows how skilled these anglers really are.

Klein and Duckett and I don't know who else started it I believe. I guess you have to be one of their buddies to get in. That the only part I'm not clear on is how they selected the group of fisherman.

I didn't know that was how this organization was structured. If that actually is the case then I like it. I think it gives these pros some leverage to gain financially and also provide a great viewing opportunity especially for guys who like me have been unable to get on the water at all this year due to circumstances beyond my control.

It's also interesting to see MLF chime in here. You never know who is out there reading this forum.

There are some really good guys involved with MLF, I love the shows and the structure, and it is great for fishing in general. What more could I ask?

Or how about an all amateur tournament? No television of course, but take a small number of pre-entries and announce the lake later. I'd be up for incurring all travel expenses to fish that format with an opportunity to win a little.

I like the show. About the only one I watch anymore.

I'd like to see this format with the pro's competing against local sticks.

Best fishing show to air in a LONG time. Best production, best graphics, best otw coverage and coolest format.

For all the guys wanting a back seat or to see local sticks fish against these guys, I doubt that will happen. I've been wrong before and could on this, too.

Enjoy MLF for what it is... the "feel" of being in the boat with some of the best and seeing how they do it, even if only through media.
