Make sure I have this right. Do not go up. Try 4 blade prop. Find 300 lbs to put in passenger seat to level boat.

Todd. do you weigh 300 lbs. ??
if you do, and your boat leans hard to the right. then you will have to adjust your tackle, etc to the left of the boat.
it may not take 300 lbs to counteract the weight. start with 100 lbs and see how it does.
with the boat sitting in the water. get a 4 ft. level and place it across the deck of the boat. with you in the drivers seat the level will tell you how and where to put the weight and how much till it's level.

ok I will ask, what engine do you have and what steering system? this could be a part of the problem.

I only weigh 285. I can run the boat 70 no problem if the gas tank is full and livewells full. Around 73 is when the problem starts.
Hydraulic steering. Motor is a yamaha.
My tournament partner will be with me Saturday. He can counter balance.

Todd - I'm having a similar problem with my Hawk and I'm curious - In your case, does it only do it when accelerating, or when at steady speeds?
On mine - at steady speed above 60, it randomly acts like it's "spinning out", and does a slight jerk right. The RPMs never go up.

Since I finally got some break in time on engine. I have had one passenger he didn't like it much so I never got over 65. I do not like making anyone uncomfortable.

I am not a racer I just want a quick holeshot and cruise about 65. But I would like to know the limitations of this motor just in case.
