ok guys. im a little confused because so many people say so many different things.
what type of line should i use for:
1. texas rigging 2. shaky head 3. weightless 4. rattle trap 5. spinner bait
i really like the braid with a flouro leader for my shaky head but recently i have been snapping the leader on my hookset. i dont know if its a problem with my knot or if i got a bad spool of line. i was using 12 pound invisix.
also i have been throwing my texas rig on a 6'9" veritas with a revo sx is this ok or should i use a different application.
any input would help tremendously

On lakes like Fork where pressure is high I highly reccomend not using braid, it will dramatically decrease your bites due to fish seeing and gearing it come through cover.
I throw 15# Seaguar InvisX on all my baits except
Topwaters - 15# Big Game Frogs - 50# Power-Pro Braid Carolina Rig - 20# InvisX & 15# InvisX leader

Cody thanks for the advice. i have an honest question. wouldnt a flouro leader fix the seeing the line because the leader would be tied to the bait.
and what have you heard about the new seagar tatsu flouro

What Cody said except I throw 20lb Invizx for a jig and Texas rig. True story on Fork, in a boat of 3 guys, we were all flipping waterdogs (please don't hate), I was in the middle and the only one catching fish and I was wearing them out. I was throwing flouro, others braid. They switched and started catching too.

if your snappin 12 lb flouro sounds like you need to loosen your drag...you throwin on a castin or fairy wand? if on a fairy wand i use 8 lb and i rarely snap it but the only thing is constant retying. and to your original question i would use flouro on all the baits listed. the only thing i use braid is punchin and frogs. hope this helps.

Big Game Moss Green 20# 99.99 % on everything. It's been working for over ten years but I am trying out InvisX 20# this spring just cus..but one roll costs $25 and only filled two Revo's.

I'm using a Abu Garcia veritas micro guide medium heavy. I only snap it when I have a leader tied to braid. I never snap it when I use straight flouro. But I'm at a delyma. I like to use braid because of no line memory and ease of castibility. I will try and loosen the drag an see if it helps. But I'm afraid I'm going to have to go with Cody's advice and use straight flouro

how long of leader do you use? may try a longer leader so it will have more room to displace the load. if your using a pretty short one you could also try a swivel to tye your lines together instead of a line to line splice this will insure good knot strength but buy BLACK ones.

Fluoro Fluoro Fluoro Braid in grass, Fluoro in more open water Fluoro
Your likely breaking your leader because your drags set to tight and/or your hookset is too stout. Even with the same setup/drag/hookset you can 'shock' a short section of line like that.
