Heading up there Thursday. Thinking about launching at Buck creek then heading up IDBois. Anyone else have the same or similar plan? I've never launched there or made that run. If you are going, how do you feel about me following you?

Thanks.

Be VERY careful! We fished it Sat and Sun and there are some stumps showing up in various "boat lanes" that you wouldn't expect...We idled allot!

Stumps just under the water. We followed a boat back there and passed a few just a few feet away from where we were running. Idle time is best in places since a lower unit costs so much to fish and it's not worth being without a boat this time of year.
Best of luck

That run is not very safe. Matter of fact any where north of wolf is nasty if it looks like a clear cut it isn't.

If your plan is just to go over near Isle Du Bois, just put in over there. I agree wont be a very fun/safe run.

That's going to be the closest boat ramp to Isle Du Bois creek. Just idle to there. Tons of big stumps in Buck just under the water that could really turn it into a bad day.

When you come out of Buck and turn to the north make sure and stay to the right side of the lake as the left side is impossible. Just north of big bass point you will see a huge cedar, just past that is very bad for 400 yards. Once you pass that stay way to the right and then you will come to that big point that use to be the Stirrup Ranch Road then you got another 200 yards of some pretty treacherous go till you get thru that area, then its clear to the 922 bridge if you stay to the right again. I don't run on plane very much north of the 922 bridge.

Thanks, everyone. So Jordan sounds like it might be my best bet. That's where I've launched in the past, just thought Buck might be closer. I idle out there more than most, since I don't know all the safe runs. Sounds like there aren't a lot of those right now. Good news is that if it is stump free now, it will definitely be stump free after we get the 3' of rain that we've been praying for!
