I have never fished this lake before but I see a lot of big bass pulled out of it. I am going to give it a shot. What are some of the better parts of the lake and what lures are people having success with?

I'd go to Georgetown instead......much better fishing conditions there.
If your dead set on going......senkos can usually produce a few 1-2 lb fish.

Lake Austin is a fun lake go towards damn and fish coves and docks big baits work well on that lake

Find grass throw your fave baits lots of docks and the guy is right hit coves by the dam. Good luck
