Brian,
What is a roll bar mount? Where can you buy it?

This is a description of a roll bar mount...

Attach your GoPro camera to roll bars, tubes and more. Fits 1.4" to 2.5" (3.5cm 6.35cm) diameter tubes. Perfect for clamping your camera to the radiator cap (both metal and plastic caps) on karts. You can also clamp to bike frames, bumper bars, ski/surfboard racks, or anything else that is in the size range above. Comes with pivoting orientation arms allowing for 3-way adjustability, ensuring you can get the angle you want.

You can buy them anywhere that sells GoPro..

I mount it to the windshield when running with a suction cup, then when fishing, it's on top of the motor with a 3M mount that came with it. Got some good vids so far with these positions.

Contour HD will go 2-3 hours on charge. I carry up to 6 batteries for an all day fishing trip. You can put 64 GB memory chip in there and that will video HD for over 12 hours. I just have 32 GB cards right now.

I like the live stream capability that the Contour +2 offers. Would be cool to stream my sons out of town baseball games this summer so momma could watch, when she can't be there. Curious what accessories (mounts) come with this and what mounts have to be purchased seperately.

Just to be clear the Contour is not a GoPro product.

Share with us tips and trick on making video with the go pro. What is the best software to create video/edit ect....and how to transfer to you tube.

I know there are a ton of you tube videos out there already that touch on this but they seem a bit difficult to follow/understand.

Thanks

I personally wear mine on my head or mount to the rear seat post.
I prefer my head as well, but sometimes it's cool to watch yourself set the hook.

+1
I have a hero 3. They all are good cameras. The best thing about the 3 over the other models is you can record while the camera is plugged into a camera supply. My cam stays mounted at back of boat. Mounted on a pvc pole with a pole/bike attachment. Head cams are cool they even have a chest cam but I like to see myself in the video as well see what I did right or wrong. I think they best is to have two..Im looking to get another at the front of the boat. They do have a pretty wide field of view

If you had a hat cam you could have seen that 10 pounder on video and then get off. wink

I use the roll bar mount attached to my anchor light most of the time. It shows everything.

I used Microsoft Live to start, very user friendly. I am now using Adobe Premier which is more powerful, still pretty user friendly.

Download raw files to computer, edit in your software of choice, generate the final file, and upload to YouTube. That easy.

A tip I use so I don't have to wade through 12 hours of video is that after I catch a fish that might make final cut I turn the camera on and off so that it starts a new file. It makes it really quick (less than 10 minutes) for me to just download the files I want for final video and then go right to the end of them where I know the important clip is. From start to finish I can take 12 hours of raw footage and finish my 2-4 minute highlights video and have on Youtube in under 30 minutes.

the front anchor light? I can see the rear light catching everything, but not the front one.
