I love the show, but last night 2 hour premiere was a stretch and full of fluff and a bit of a disappointment. Piranhas..again...really?
I have seen a few posts on the web about this season's last episode is supposed to be worth the entire season. He "apparently" has actually caught or filmed something interesting at Loch Ness.
I wouldn't be surprised if this was the last season on fresh water and he decides to dive into "Ocean Monsters". I think that would have a longer shelf life with alot more variety and a chance at some real monsters being discovered.

I liked it - Watched with my 8yr old GranBaby and she was into the "Mystery" of it - What could the "Face Ripper" be?

yah...but I think the audience craves more hands on fishing than story telling?

I love the show but was disappointed like you all were last night. I think they are focusing on the drama of deaths/injuries on the river too much and should just focus more on the monster sizes some of these fish can reach. I'd much rather watch him catch monster Piraiba or Mekong Catfish any day as opposed to Piranhas...
