Im taking my 16' bass boat to fish redfish bay. I never been there and need some tips. where do I launch at port mansfield?

Terrible mistake to dunk that bass rig in the LLM. First realize it's 400% more saline than Galveston bay, and 200% more than the open gulf.
Your painted trailer? Goner. You can't wash it enough to save it.
All those un-soldered butt connectors under the dash and behind the switch panels? Goners.
Livewell, bilge pumps? Goners.

And...you'll only be able to maybe navigate 15% of the water, just the intercoastal, east cut and maybe the prarie, the rest you'll be like a fat cow stuck in the mud.

Rent something, hire a guide, beg a ride, just don't do what you're planning.

lots of access for a kayak. don't have to have a boat to get on some fish and don't have to paddle far.
i would never put my bassboat in the bay and its already old as dirt.
take a castnet, mullet are usually easy to get.

in my opinion the kayak is just to get from point a to point b. i like to get out and wade around. just make sure you have some stingray boots or good shoes. oyster reefs will tear your feet up.
catch some mullet and throw it on a carolina rig. there is lots of structure. reeds, reefs, cuts, and plenty of vegitation. in alot of places you can pull off the road and just launch the kayak. if no bites load up and drive down a bit more.
might research lighthouse trails also.

Use the yack to move down and do as described above. yaks are a great way to be on the water
