I'm going to chgke canyon for the first time. What types of bait should i throw. I like fishing plastics and top water. any suggestions?. Launch conditions? Thanks

The lake is pretty low. Big worms usually work. June Bug is a good color.

I will be there Sunday. Haven't been in some time. Find gravel and stumps and you should catch fish with senkos TXRig and with cranks. Been reading a lot of poor reports but the fish have to eat at some point. Should be about done with spawn so the big girls may be out a bit deeper.
South shore launch should be usable. I know Callaham is in good shape.

thanks for the replies. Whatabass Hope you did good and the wind was nice to you. Looks like I will be out there Monday. I spent the last 3 days at falcon and it was windy and tough. Did manage 4 fish day 1, 3 on day 2, and 4 on day 3 nothing over 3 lbs. so hopefully my luck will get better at choke.
