Hey guys!! I will be trying out Crappie fishing for the first time this weekend. Saturday I am heading to Cedar Creek for some action and sunday I am trying to stay around the Joe Pool area since I live five minutes away. I keep hearing about Seeton Creek for the crappie. I can not find it anywhere on MAPS. Does anyone here know how to gain access to this creek and how I can get there. Is it a hike, etc stuff like that. Your help will be greatly appreciated.

Hey cyberfisherman...I think u r pertaining to britton park which is on seeton road. That park is in Mansfield but not far of a drive from u since u r in cedar hill. There is a boat ramp and a separate parking area for those that have kayaks and canoes. Kayak/canoe put in is close to the creek u r talking about. Been a year since I hit that area..it was shallow when I went. Cost is $5 and on honor system.

Man I wish I could've seen this before the weekend. I've been out learning how to crappie fish the whole weekend. Found a few good spots. Between the 2 of us, we pulled out about 100 crappie over ten inches. Best part was not having to share the spot with 15 people. Me and my bud were the only two there. Would've been fun to learn with someone else who's a noobie at it too haha.

mbell nows a great time to go after them near Walnut Creek in that spot I told you about in a past post.I would go if I had a Yak or a Tube but to haul my 8 ft Pelican Raider 100 yds is too much for me.

Cold front probably pushed them out a little. They'll be back.
