Saw the action on Saint Annes Point from my dock about an hour before the rains hit this afternoon. Slipped out there and caught 4 including a 26 inch one. Another pulled off. First top water action I've seen this year.

They were chasing threadfin shad out of the water with several loons and plenty of gulls taking part.

Nice dennis, ready for a little of that here..

Hooking a fish is like playing string with a cat. The exact size, shape, color of string matters less than how you wiggle it- and little cats are easier to fool than big ones. John Gierach

We had trip with JVguide on 3/30 last year. That trip we experienced hybrid top water action for two hours before dark. Has anyone seen the hybrid topwatrr action this year yet?

I am primarily a LMB bass fisherman but to me there is nothing in fishing anymore exciting than when the hybrids are on top. I have been out with Polar a number of times when they are feeding on top and that is about as good as it gets.
