I remember these from Longview.
People's - I remember the bar stools with legs and feet for the base.
Dairy Cream - Yup that's right Cream not Queen. Good greasy flat top burgers. Used to walk there from my grandparents house.

Agree on all mentioned but mine is in Ablene, Texas. Joe Allen's on Treadaway St, best steaks I have ever had.

WOW...didn't know there was ever another location other than the one in Hurst. Does ANYONE remember Gallagher's? There was one in Hurst off 183 and Precinct Line road.
anthonyhicks101 for president! Greatness right there.

When I was a kid my dad was a home delivery milkman, I'd work with him on weekends and in the summer, on Saturdays we would always stop and eat breakfast at a place called Brinks, I can't remember exactly where it was but it was sure good!

Schubert's in Giddings for chicken fried steaks. These aren't restaurants but the local picnics around Giddings for BBQ.

Massey's Restaurant on 8th Ave served one of the the best chicken-fried steaks in Ft. Worth for over 60 years. Unfortunately, they closed down in 2011.
Another place in Ft. Worth that is still around and was great back in the day is Angelo's BBQ on White Settlement Rd. The place was legendary for years but since Angelo died back in 1997 it's never been the same. The last time I had ribs there they were barely edible.
