Where to buy a detailed contour map of Eagle Mountain Lake? Hopefully, waterproof. This all new to me and my two fish finders (Garmin GPS and Lowrance - both older) do not have the capability of giving me locations of the river channel or structure. 30 years ago, maps were available at almost all the fish and bait shops but, seems now (for me at least) they are hard to find? Bass Pro Shops/Cabellas/internet? Any help is appreciated . http://texasfishingforum.com/forums/images/icons/default/exclamation.gif

I went to Olesen's tackle my for my first time a couple weeks ago. Cool little spot. They were out of them at the time but normally carry them I was told. It is in Lake Worth down by Boss Hogs pizza.

Not sure if anyone still makes contour maps of them. I have a bunch of old maps that were passed down from grand parents. I'll look and see if they have any detail to them tonight when I get home. The lake is an old one. The end up there where you live is full of silt. My dad use to have a place on the Newark side back in the 80s and 90s and half the time there was no water under the dock. With that being said that end of the lake is so shallow that I have never caught any bass over 5 lbs on that end. All of the bigger fish are further down the lake. The bigger fish normally hold in the docks on the East side of the lake between pelican island and the old boat club, these are deep water docks, and then little carter slough has produced some 10 lbers over the past couple of years in the back of it. When you go in to it there is a hump over to the left side of it that holds fish. It's pretty much a lake that holds dock fish. If you find structure out in it it will hold fish. When the lake floods all of the willows the bass will get all up in em. Believe it or not in July I have caught a lot of the bass on the north end by some of the old duck blinds. Tarrant Regional Water District has been doing some dredging up there and I am curious to see how that is going to pan out. One last thing - when you see a ladder on a boat dock, make sure you flip all around it. One of our old neighbors up in Newark had an aluminum ladder on his boat dock that went all the way to the bottom, and he had simply tied it to the side of his dock. That ladder on the side of that dock produced so many fish for us it was amazing. I'll get back with you on the maps tomorrow.

I bought a topographic map at Walmart in Lake Worth when I moved here about 8 years ago. Has Eagle Mtn on one side and Lake Worth on the other. Don't know how accurate the Eagle Mtn map is, but the Lake Worth map is worthless because it is apparently from much earlier days. It shows the river channel from Jacksboro Bridge to the dam to be 40 - 60'. You Lake Worth veterans can stop laughing now!
In memory of my childhood friend Dan Sterling, who taught me at an early age how to catch bream with a hand-line, and who unknowingly hooked me on fishing for life.

This is GREAT but, when selecting 'print', preview shows nothing there....arghhhhhhh. I have just purchased a Navionics 'Platnium' chip for a not yet installed Hummingbird 597ciHD. I guess all of this will show up similiar to this WHEN new unit is installed? thanks for taking time to reply... r/ Fred

There is a free 2ft contour interval map on this website. Where to buy a detailed contour map of Eagle Mountain Lake? Hopefully, waterproof.
