i am new to braid i have 2 of my rods spooled with braid and tied my normal floro leader to the braid and both of them have cut the floro at the knot i am using the double uni knot to tie them is there a better knot to use i also am using 15# braid and 30# floro

I use heavier line but always use a double palomar knot, and never a slip.

Don't forget braid doesn't really like to hold knots...you should use a lock knot before you cut off excess line.

i havent had a problem with the knot coming undone both lines the knot on the braid is still there it just cut through the floro

You can also use the improved Albright knot.

You might try the #8 S Pro swivel -tiny but 50 lb test

Crazy Alberto knot

I have had that problem with double uniknots, mono is worse than flouro. I started using the Slim Beauty knot. I tie 20lb braid to 20 to 40lb mono and flouro and haven't had it cut through yet, in almost a year of use.
