after much use and multiple ops, im considering a spray on bed liner product on the bottom of my yak due to scuffs and scratches. been told it will have more drag due to texture. anyone have any experience, recommendations or tips?
thanks

I doubt that it would adhere for very long.
I know it would add weight.
I am sure it wouldn't be as "slick" as your present yak bottom.
You can have ( or do it yourself) scuffs and nicks repaired on your yak's bottom easily enough.

I haven't done it...I hope someone with more specific knowledge of your choice will pipe in soon. regards, Rich

i found a company that is putting a liner on the bottom of their yaks the other week. didnt save the link but frown perhaps all yak manufactures will offer a solution soon.

line x is a good product IMO.
line x VS rhino ... line x every time thumb
rhino line fades and chips off easier.

depending on use, not sure if either will adhere to the bottom of your yak for more than several months.

i like this this one.
got to watch till the end to get it...

Urethane is heavy, and heavy doesn't mix well with kayaks. If the bottom is prepared well, then it will stick. But I wouldn't do it to mine. I'll deal with deep scratches when they happen.

I thought kayaks were made out of bed liners.

If your kayak isn't scratched and scuffed then you aren't out there using it.

Wear those blemishes and dings as proud proof that you are out there enjoying being on the water.
