 Lake Fork Report April 2nd

This past week started off with a bad cold front high winds and temps down in the thirtys but by Wednesday the weather made a big rebound, and so did the fishing. On Wednesday Steve Glass from Dallas fished with me the day started out slow but by mid morning they turned on an by the end of the day we put 24 in the boat and one that went 10 lbs 8 oz and on Thursday Don Guy from Tulsa fished with me, Don came down in February and fished with Lance Vick and they had a great day, Don caught one with Lance that went 9 lbs 4 0z on a Suspending Jerk Bait this was Dons personnel best at that time, on this trip his PB now is 11 lbs 4 oz Don caught this giant bass on a Green Pumpkin Rattlesnake in 3 feet in a main lake pocket, this fish did all the wrong things under the boat in the motor after a long fight we got her in the net, great job Don 2 personnel best on 2 trips to Lake Fork. Most of our fish this past week have been in 2 to 4 feet on spawning flats, Green Pumpkin Rattlesnakes and Green Pumpkin Brush Hogs have work best for me. The fishing has been great the last 5 days, I am seeing a lot of people catching fish right now, hope these tips help on your next trip to Lake Fork. My fishing bud wore them and me out on watermelon/red rattlesnakes Sat. I couldn't buy a bite on em. Saving my bite for a new Dodge. Thanks for report David.
