I thought the good fishin in the creek was over but I'm glad I was wrong. Caught 5 good sandies in an hour there yesterday. Others had a dozen or so on their strings...

Hey thanks for the report I think I will have to give it a try in the next few days.
I went down Sunday just to have a look and the parking on the south side was full and spilling out on 380 and the bank was lined with fishermen and fisherwoman to.
The place looks about three foot lower then last year. And at one point it looked like this last year.

Good pic Pond Jumper. There is a video floating around somewhere of that same time and it had crested about 6-12" higher - carp were swimming everywhere in the parking lot.

I went down there friday 04/19/2013. Got there at 10:30. One guy was leaving with a limit of sandbass. As I was leaving at 1:30 I noticed that same guy down there again. I think he is the one that drives the small blue work truck. He is down there all the time. And he has fish every time I see him. BTW I was to tired to deal with that problem, I had been up for 21 hrs, but beleave me I will deal with him next time I see him.... mad

Did you see the size of that chicken?!.

I know the truck. It is there almost every time I go by.

Note - I'm not saying he (or anyone else) is taking more than 1 limit/day but if I do see that, I won't hesitate to take a description and report. I agree with Bassthumb.

Lol - understood. Most ppl think the holes to the south of the bridge are the only place to fish. When the south parking lot is packed, I go to the north parking area (SP pass) and walk north - a few places up there that will produce with a reasonable walk - I know you know where they are. smile

Its true north of 380 is very good to I have gone up as much as 2 miles in the boat "NOT THIS YEARa and a two man boat at that" but there are some very good bank fishing holes up that way

So I ended up stopping by for some fishies. Fished from about 5:30 to 8 with all of the bigs sandies hitting early. Caught my first hybrids too but they were only about a foot long or so. Ended the day with 8 keepers and threw back 5. Most around me had stringers of a dozen or so.
