I have a high school fishing tournament on Lake Ray Roberts! I've no clue about what to use?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have always had good luck with lipless cranks and med diving cranks off of points. I've had good luck with creature baits in the sticks by wolf island. Others that are better than me will have better stuff for you but this will give you a good starting point.

Try Flukes and brush hogs - These have worked well last couple of weeks

Ray Bob is still cold. I stay away until the temps break 55 degrees. The cold front of earlier this week is going to hurt it for another week or so. This full moon won't help either. Cold weather baits are jerk baits, jigs, and worms. If you can find grass burn a red rattle trap. Bass will hold in grass. The marina cove is good this time of the year because of the amount of rocks that are there. The rocks hold heat, and will hold the bass. That is the only place on the West side that I have ever fished. Indian and Lick are two of the best creeks on the East arm for March. If you don't catch em shallow try and crank bait in the trees, they will suspend in the trees down about 10 to 15 ft. Take you a lure retriever.
I have caught more fish on this lake with a watermelon french fry rigged with a Bass Pro Shops football shaped split shot weight rigged about 6" in front of the ring fry, on this lake thru the years. Slow it down. This was Lindy Roberts go to bait for years. He was one of the best guides up there since it opened, he just retired last year. He would also thow the yum dinger that way too.

chatterbaits, white or white/chart with shad trailer (I use lft), frogs/floating and sinking around bank structure (think bedding bass), hula grubs/biffle bugs and zoom salamanders/lizards.

these would be my start off baits.

Congratulations. I sure wish they had high school bass fishing back when I was a kid.

Where did you catch them? and on what bait?

From now till June is my favorite time on Ray Bob.

May is by far the best for me.

I guess too late now, but two of us went on Good Friday and caught 12 (two about 4 pouds). All on black lizard texas rigged. I'm not from around there but we caught them all in the area around the marina near Sanger.

That cove that the marina sits in has rocks the size of cars all around it. The rocks hold heat and the bass will spawn all around them and even on top of them.
