You know, Easter really gets my engine revved for spawning Crappie fishing like nothing else. Spring is in the air, new life abounds in our lakes and in the woods. But I'm also reminded of a new beginning of a different variety... A man was murdered for sharing a message of hope and life eternal; but death could not hold Him. This man was God in the flesh. The blackness in my own heart murdered Jesus. I deserve to be humiliated, spat & urinated on, mocked and crucified for the ugliness inside of me. But God loved ALL of his fishermen so much, that he allowed evil man (me) to murder his own son as a payment for the bad things we have thought and done. He was the blameless sacrifice, the Holy Lamb. We can fool ourselves about what we have done with the reality of Jesus Christ--but we cannot fool God. "For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures." I Corinthians 15:3-4 HE IS RISEN TODAY!!!!!
Be safe on the water tomorrow if you're fishing, I hope everyone catches lots of slabs, and I hope you take/have taken God up on his offer. You could say He's got a back seat open for you.

There's a reason church's coast to coast will be packed out today... celebration of the Resurrection of Jesus. So thankful to Christ who changed my life like nothing else.
