I noticed my trolling motor acting up and started losing power quickly. I pulled the prop off and fishing line was wrapped around it.... Did not help. Pulled the lower unit off and sure enough water and muck came out. Would it be cheaper to get it fixed and make sure it holds a seal or just buy a new trolling motor?

I don't know where you are located but it is an easy fix, contact Donna at Steves Custom Prop, she is the ASC at Fork.
903 765 9000 They probably have the parts on hand.

It ain't easy making it look easy.
