Never been to Fork, heard the hotels were getting jammed up. Is there some small towns nearby where we could stay, hopefully within an hour of the ramp ? And what do yall think we can expect for wait times on the ramp for the mega bass ? Thank you for the helP.

We are coming in from Burnet, is is best to try Mineola ?

Almost all rooms are booked. Try in Sulfer Springs area for a room. All ramps are going to be packed. We were thinking about doing the megabass this year and was going to launch and dock by a freinds lake house over night to not have to fight the ramps.

lindale 30 minutes, mineola 15 minutes, quitman 5 minutes. Lindale for sure without a problem...not sure if you'll be close to electric outlets for your batteries?

Multiple hotel choices in Lindale on the Interstate. Best Western in Mineola, and a few smaller yet better suited for boats on HWY 69 in Quitman (prob sold out)

Thank you everyone. We have rooms in Greenville. Is the water stained ? Can I get away with braid ?

I have caught some nice fish using braided line the past few weeks. Don't see why you couldn't get away with it. Water clarity differs from creek to creek, day to day.
