I haven't seen any posts on lake cooper in a while. Do any of you have any recent updates. I have a place at cc but can't get there this weekend. I live in McKinney and am considering trying a close by lake. Also if you have another suggestion I would appreciate it.

Cooper is down about 7' and is a tricky lake in that there are humps in the middle of the lake that can and will "sneak" up on you. I suggest you have a good map and pay close attention to your depth finder.

The fish that have been caught there lately have been shallow, less than 12'.

The hybrids and white bass are moving into shallow water to do there spawning on main lake points and wind blown banks. We have been using a cocamoe minnow on a 1/2oz jig head from moestackleshop.com to catch both the hybrids and white bass.
Like Fastguy said BE VERY CAREFUL RUNNING on Cooper right now.

Pay attention to your charts. There are lots of humps in the middle of the lake and flats that are less than 1ft right now. Just pay attention. Specifically the hump out from Drs creek and all of the oyler flats and west to the timber. There is also a shallow hump off of Tira ramp that is like 1.5 ft deep.
