Had the Wedo family from Ark. today. Caught 51 fish on a 21 ft ridge.Most were smallish males. Big females are up north. Be careful if you try to go north lotz of 1 and 2 foot water. Not worth it in a boat. Caught all fish on ole ugly slabs and a few on flies. Water is still only 55 which is what it was a month ago. Just won't warm up. Another cold fornt Monday.

Took my son out for a couple of hours and we caught 26 on white and chartruse Old Uglies. 22 to 24 feet on a mid lake hump and every thing was small. No big catfish today but still good to get out. Good to see you out today Johnny. Glad you had a good trip.

Found females in about 7 fow. Off wind swept point near cove. Look for the birds. White grubs were hot.
Give a man a fish, he'll eat for a day. Teach him how to fish, he'll be gone every weekend.

Johnny, if you had to guess when do you think Hero Time will start and how long will it last? Need to plan some vacation time!

Man O Man Matt. We are six weeks behind last year and the cold fronts just keep coming. Water temps. were colder yesterday than they were two weeks ago and we have a front coming in Monday and tuesday. All we need is three or four days of 80 degrees and no cold front behind it. Water needs to be 60 to 65 so I would say any time but who knows. I would have guessed to weeks ago it would have started but it is still cold. Water temp was 53 to 57 yesterday. I have missed so many predictions this year on that I better pass.

Johnny I found 61* water out on the south flat yesterday evening. Couldn't keep the sandies off my catfish baits.
