Certainly worth the trip right there...last year, I bumped into a similar looking tree, spooked a duck, scared the you know what out of me and there were 13 eggs in the nest. I have the pic on my phone but don't know how to put it on here.

13 eggs? I learned at The Texas Fish Hatchery in Athens this week that The Brown Bellied Tree Duck will actually do nest sharing where several females will lay their eggs in one nest. They send out a call that sounds like a loose fan belt motor that tells any others that are passing by that they have an available nest.
