I have found fish in 3 feet or less water in grass and buck brush. Have been doing very well afternoon when prefishing catching 15-17 pound stringers after lunch. That's real good for my abilities. Chatter baits, swim baits, flukes and baby brush hogs all working. However, my next tournament ends at 2:00 and I can not get bit in the morning. Not a single bite before lunch. I know the fish are there. Any suggestions for getting them to bite in the morning????

Move a cast off the bank early. Could be transitional fish, as the water warms in the afternoon, they get shallow. After dark, early AM, they slide out a shade deeper.

It's also that time of the year, the water is still warming in the morning.

Fish the North banks first then move to the West after the sun has been up for about an hour or two.
