Ok, been many years since I last fished. Looking over the now locally available selection of crank-baits, man, it's overwhelming!
OK, it seems that 'falling crank-baits' are ever more popular but have changed MUCH over the years since I got to fish. But, I still remember the problem when using a 'falling crank-bait', you face the high probability of losing your lure by getting it hung up.
Are the 'newer' crank-baits improved or better that it is no longer a problem?
I would surely like to hope so. Looking locally at Walmart and Academy Sporting goods, it seems there are many more types (man it is confusing now) but isn't the age old problem still the same? Risk of losing your lure still a very real probability?
I'm old but, not shy (LOL). Never bashful, so this would be fisherman will ask.
What are ya'll using, hopefully, to prevent this age old problem?

LOL, ok. I'm not going to try to even hide my 'ignorance' here. What in the world is a 'plug knocker'??? LOL, sorry, but I have never even heard of that...

Lee, a plug knocker is a weight with a clip on it and nylon cord attached to the clip or weight. You clip this device on your line and, while holding your line tight, let slide down your line to the hung cb. 9 out of 10 times you can knock the cb or plug loose.
