hey it may be a little over kill but then you may want a camper or travel trailer in the future and then youll be glad to have it then buy a gas truck or a cummins. that 6.0 is bad news.

I was about to say definitely get a diesel not a half ton but do not buy the 6.0 powerstroke. But you got a hemi so I guess you needed a gasser

Go to some of the RV forums and read the comments about the Ford 6.0 Diesel. Volumes have been written about it, not much of it good. A 1/2 ton with any V-8 will pull your boat easily. if you think you may be in line for a travel trailer, I would look at a 3/4 ton with a big gasser. For anything, but regular heavy towing, a 1 ton and/or diesel would be overkill and an unneeded expense to run and maintain.. The Ford 6.2 gasser will pull 12,500 lbs. The diesel will generate more testosterone.

buy a halfton
stay away from that 6.0 ford.
avoid it like the plague
A 1/2 ton truck can easily handle a boat of that size, in all honesty, my toyota tacoma would pull a 20ft aluminum boat fully decked out no problem. Tht bass boat isn't any kind of a load for a V-8 engine This

I would stay away from it if hou cant work on it yourself i have one and do all repairs myself if the truck has been bullet proofed then go for it but its way overkill if your not pulling over 10,000 lbs
