Legend Alpha 211 power steering Question?

I have an 09 Legend Alpha 211 and I think it is low on power steering fluid.I have noticed it's gotten a little slack in the steering wheel. And when on plane turning back into the prop rotation I can feel the wheel slip a little. Hoping its just low on power steering fluid I went to check it and can't figure out how to check the reservoir or add fliud to it? Im almost positive the reservoir is on the steering column under the console but i cant figure out how to check it? On my old boat (98 Stratos) it had a fill cap on the front of the console under the windshield. The only thing i can come up with is it's a sealed system and it has 2 connections(they look like big grease zerts) on the cylinder on the back of the motor i think this is where you add the oil but in not sure. Can i do this myself or do i have to have a mechanic do it? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Sounds like you got low on fluid and some air may be in your lines. Those zerk fittings are for bleeding your system after you get it filled with more fluid. I am no mechanic but i have had this happen to my Skeeter a few times.

If you have a graph flush mounted in the dash you have to pull it to get to the fill line. Had the same issue a while back on my alpha 199 turned out to just be air in the system my dealer filled it up then bled the system and it was good to go.

When you get ready to bleed your system you just turn the steering all the way to one side, open the zerk, let the air out and then shut the zerk then just turn it all the way to the other side and bleed the other zerk, repeat as needed until you arent seeing any more air bubbles coming out. I believe West Marine sells a little kit that helps with this.
