I was fishing a lake in Georgia one time and working the bank about 50 yards behind a man who's girlfriend or wife or whatever flashed her goodies at me when he wasn't not looking. If she flashed when he "wasn't not" looking, wouldn't that be the same as flashing when he was looking? Are you from Georgia? LOL.....

It's all good! How can you possibly have a bad day fishing?

I got towed in by a guy in a yak after my battery died.

I recently got a new to me boat. I have helped buddies back trailers load boats etc. Not a complete novice but more nerve racking with my own setup. First 5 times loading I had no issues, I was prepared and went about my business quickly. All 5 times loading and unloading by myself. Then I decided to use the ramp at Fisherman's Cove on Fork. Not a great idea! I was having difficulty with the angle of the ramp and the shallow water.
A nice fella in a Basscat and his son pulled up on the bank. The son jumped out, got in my Suburban and adjusted the trailer depth. I loaded the boat and got out of the way. It would have taken a lot longer had he not helped. I thanked them again after they loaded. The Dad gave me some good advice and encouraged me to continue earning my experience! Nice guys. As a result, I will always be proactive in helping people at the ramp when needed.

You bet. I've been towed in, truck jump-started, tossed baits, told to go fish "over there", great conversations with dock owners, a "cheering section" while landing a big fish, guys giving me the shoreline while they go around...far more good encounters than bad ones. +1

Great post! To much negativity sometimes, I've met a lot of great people on the water and let's face it...being on the water beats most anything so why not enjoy it and be good to each other!?

ThAnks for posting some great stories. I try not to get in anyone's way and not chit chat because my feeling is I am on the lake to fish when this would be a perfect place to chat since most on the water have the same passion.

I was leaving the ramp at 64 on Tyler one evening after getting skunked and there were a couple guys that looked like they were having trouble launching their boat. I offered some help and wound up showing them everything from how to unhook the transom staps to where the plug goes. One of them just got the boat and had never been in one before. Fast forward to the next day at Gilmer after striking out for hours a older gent in a red Skeeter passes by and asks how the fishing was going. I tell him it stinks, he says follow me and throws a pack of Senkos in my boat. Best 2 hours ever on Gilmer!!!

Not recently but in the past. I had found some quality fish on a point at Cypress Springs about 3 years ago. When I went to it to upgrade our limit. There was someone way off the point, but in the general area. We graphed the fished and dropped our buoy. Then they started to work back out to that area. I apologized and started to pull my buoy up and let them have the spot. He was fishing the tournament also. He told me there was plenty of room for both of us on the point and we started fishing side by side and carried on a conversation for about an hour and new people in common. I am not good with names, but I believe he is on here and is a physical trainer in the DFW area.
There are good people out there.
