I would take catfishing out of a toon over any other type of boat. Ive done it out of bassboats and center consoles and like the toon over them. It more roomy and can fish four comfortably. But that's just me

Here ya go AY

They are the biggest spring clips that lowes carry. Just get two washers for top and bottom and a 2.5-3in bolt

I'm trying to make some that are removable so I dont have to drill holes in the top rails. I made up some C clips last night that will wrap around the rails. I'm either going to make to holder out of 4" PVC or try to find some of these clips. Thanks for the pics......

I’ll try and post a pic of the ones I made last night. The work great on the front of the toon. The back is different because the aluminum paneling comes all the way to the top of the rail. I think I’m going to try and find some small C-clamp and try and weld one of those clips to it. That way I can clamp them where ever I want along the back.

On the clamp style will they hold on the the rail good enough when a fish makes a run?

I hope to find out Friday. I ones i made last night will not come off. I'll get a pic tonight. The only problem i see with them is that i have to tighten them down real good or they will swing to the side.

Another question....How do you fish out of the toon or how do you anchor up?

Im thinking of throwing an anchor out the back and then tie off the front to a tree and the pulling everything tight with the anchor. I like to tight line fish but its kind of hard to if the boat is moving back and forth.
