I was at The creek today near Springfield. Not great but not bad. Minnows were way better than jigs it seemed. Think I will go with minnows next time. Some guys were saying that in one more week it would be dead over there is that true? I thought it was just getting started due to weather? Any thoughts.
I only fish on days that end in Y!

From what I seen from the main body of the lake spawn has just started if at all the temperature is 57.4 and never changed from 3 feet of water to 12.

Met Dieselhondas, his dog, and monster truck today.
Cool
Had a similar experience he had yesterday, today.
The drums(?) looked like big white ghost fish swimming in a pack of 3-4, being followed by a lot of other fish. Also saw groups of medium largemouths hanging off of under ground stumps.
I threw my whole tackle box and a bucket of minnows at them and only got two good sized sand bass.
Next time I will bring a stick of dynamite. ( Kidding)
it seems every fish is a hybrid until its landed.
see also is it a hybrid / I think its a hybrid

I was there today from 7 to 3 down by the bike park. I Caught three Sandy's and two yellow bellies. There was lots of fish where I was At. But I believe today was the day for fish to be Having sex and not biting the hook. It's amazing to see all that activity going on Under the water. All five fish were caught on a chartreuse Curly tail 1/16 ounce. All fish were taken home filleted and Eaten Now that's what I call a good Friday.
Ain't nothin better than watching a fish stretch my line.

all you crack of dawners ever stop to consider that maybe you are there too early? I have been 4-5 times in the last several weeks and the earliest i have gotten there was 11 am. Only failed to limit once. Latest i got there was 6 pm and fished till dark. Gangbusters!
Consider a sleep in, a good brunch, something! Then go fishing.
In another few weeks the earliest i will be getting to any of my hotspots will be 8:30-9:00 PM, but the quarry will be largemouths and bull bluegills.
