 How's deep sea fishing in Hawaii in April?

I'm going to Kauai island in Hawaii April 13th for a delayed honeymoon and the wife asked me if I wanted to go fishing. So anyone ever been? I went deep sea fishing in Mexico in December and it was horrible.
Any feedback would be great.

I caught a 500 lb. Blue Marlin out of Kona in April, 2000. I don't think that was their "peak" time but was good enough for me!
