I have not been since 97.. I know the fishing has got good the last couple years with some big bags being caught.

Hoping someone can give me a couple of pointers. Not looking for spots, just general info. IE: water temp, pattern, baits, colors, and general areas.

Feel free to PM me if that is your preference.

Thanks in advance!!!!!

Justin

Last sat it was on fire... Big fish are pre staging so look for the shallow sand or gravel banks with deep water close. I would fish c rig or texas rig. Might try a jerkbait too

I am headed there this weekend and could also use some help. I have not been in about 3 years, so hope that I can find a few. I will be looking back at this post to see if there is any help. If you are going later than this weekend, I will be glad to share my expeiences.

B Lee, have you been using suspending or floating jerkbaits?

We used to fish PK all the time before the first fish kill happened. We gave up on it for a couple years but caught good numbers 2 summers ago. I'm really thinking about heading out there again after all I've been hearing. So glad it's doing so much better.

My son and I both caught our PB's there last May. It was unreal. Jigs, shakey heads, texas rigs, jerk baits, pop r, crank bait. You name it we caught fish on it at some point during April and may. Creeks with trees, rocky banks, lay downs. Caddo bay, bluff creek, and hog bend were great.
