I've always wanted the experience of fishing with a pro in a tournament. For my bday that is exactly what my wife got me. Just wondering which tour and how to go about signing up for one? Any advice for me? Thanks.

Happy Birthday. I'm fishing FLW as a co-A. Never done it, ive heard good and bad. FLW I think is easier to get into (as a coangler) over BASS opens.

Also I would like the pros to be a good caliber. Maybe I could learn a thing or two.

You may still be able to get in as a co-angler in the Bass Central Opens. You will have a shot at drawing an Elite Series pro. Only have to worry about catching 3 fish!

I am fishing the Bass Open next month and as of two weeks ago, they were still looking for Co's.

I signed up to fish the Opens on the Red River here in April. Signed up two weeks ago but haven't heard back to see if I made the list yet. Anyone know how long it normally takes to hear back from them?

Everstarts or BASS Opens both great places to start. I wouldn't do them if complete beginner, but I jumped in after only about a year of experience and was OK. Just now after 3 years am I getting the confidence I'm close to cashing a check.

Whats the coangler entry fees for BASS and FLW? Never fished as a co in a big trail before seems like it might be fun and a little cheaper!

Bassmaster weekend series for less money and a little less travel, BASS Opens for a little more money and a little more travel. Both are really good. If this is a "one time" type of experience then I would definitely say BASS Opens. Multi day even and the chance of drawing an Elite series angler. If you want to fish an entire trail, then the Weekend Series is great.
