So I'm installing a new Elite 7 combo now and I need to pick a map card(s). I really don't need coastal mapping as I fish in the mid west/west mostly.
My question is what is the best map software? Is the Lake Insight good or do I need something like Navinoics or Hotspots Pro? Thanks, George

I really like my Navionics Premium, but the Lowrance mapping is better on some lakes.

Before you spend $150.00 on the Navionics Premium you may want to wait on a fix from Lowrance for a problem with the Elite 7 where doesn't show all of the map features.

Dubya, Supposed to be a software release this week from Lowrance to fix the missing detail and a sonar issue. so sure, defintiely makes insight look better with missing stuff Check their website.

I just updated my Elite 7 with the latest software and there is no difference that I can see between the 2013 Navionics Premium map now and before. Still missing creek channels and road beds as compared to the same map card when in my HDS-10.
