Anyone been to Purtis Creek lately? I caught a 10+ there a few years back.

heard purtis is tougher now without the grass. lots of good water in that area, fork if your into trophy hunting has been good this year, but i can zero out there as easy as have a career day. so if you want numbers look elsewhere. if it were me i'd pick a brand new lake i'd never fished and go cover some shallow water with plastics and spinner baits and see what happens. just go fishing. this style reminds me of how i fished most of the time as a kid with dad. this time of year is the best to fish that style.

David, ICA had a good tourney at Holbrook on the 16th, winner was fishing a post spawn pattern. there were beds but only buck bass around them.
Unfortunantly Mill Creek has been very tough, since last year. we attempted three tourneys there last year and moved the august night tournament and the december day tournmaent. Our March tournament has been there since 1992, last year 3 poeple caught fish, I won with three fish. I prefished it in early feb thinking the guys will pick it again. Fished every creek shallow and mid depth, never got a bite.
I keep thinking about giving Purtis Creek a try, fished there last winter, but did not go back for any night fishing.
Any information on the top six tourney.
Good luck and have a Happy Easter.
Syd
