No and No I watched Clunn's spot get beat up from my rental on Sunday. Talked to him this am before launch and he said people like that can't catch those fish. I just laughed because I didn't see any of them catching them.

What a great finish though it was exciting with like 25 minutes left Clunn lands a 7 lber.

Hats off to Keith he said at the weigh in if the tourney wasn't postponed he wouldn't have won it. Class act and very happy for him...

Lots of disrespectiful actions going on at all the BASS lakes.
Their mind set is; I have spent lots of money coming on this trip, I am going to follow one to a couple of spots, then tomorrow I will fish there until he comes then I will go to the other one. There are some that do this each day. It only takes a couple of spots for them to sneek in there and fish until the pro returns.
That's hitting below the belt. It might come down to having a Marshall's Boat. The Pro could tell him to stay here and protect this spot until I get back. Then he might radio the Marshall and say I have found a better spot come on over here and get ready for the next move.
I guess that would be HOLE sitting though, and be just as bad.

That's good karma right there. He fished well and shared praise.
Pretty difficult to not support the person that makes a habit of doing things like that.

I really have no more respect for the "Elite" pros or any other tournament anglers than anyone else and don't believe they deserve any more consideration than the weekend angler. That being said, I would never move in on anyone or attempt to snipe there spot. Lack of respect for fellow fishermen regardless of status has become rampant.

This kind of behavior/ lack of fishing etiquette happens all of the time, just fish fork on a nice spring weekend. Theres no etiquette or morals on the water anymore. How often do you get cut off by another boat blowing past you and stopping to fish 15 or 20 yards in front of you or you're fishing your way into a pocket or cove and someone just passes you. Catch a few fish and watch the other guys just come over and fish on top of you. Sorry to say that but its true. Majority of people just don't care about anyone but themselves. Not just on the water but on the road and just about everywhere else people gather. Not a rant, just stating the truth.

The elite guys dont respect average fishermens water.... so in turn why do you expect a regular fishermen to respect their water? Remember these guys are marketing gurus. The TV personality you may see isnt who they truly are in a lot of cases. I guarantee they would pull up on any one of us in a new york second and tell us how they feel.

We parked on a bluff and had a great view of Rick Clunn the entire final day. It was pretty cool sitting back and watching one of the best all time bass fishermen do his thing. My friend and I watched him go back and forth between two points and search for fish. During the afternoon he moved off one of these spots to let it rest and no sooner had he left a guy that had been watching moved right in and started casting. All the time looking over his back to see if Rick might be heading back over. He had an expensive Ranger. What a .....

I think every boater should be allowed to carry a taser. If someone is close enough to get tased, then I bet they won't do it again.
Unfortunately, that has been going on down at Falcon for a loooong time. Not just tournament anglers, but if someone see's you catching fish, they will come right over or be on that spot first thing the next morning.
Im sure Keith was well aware of this and may be why he concentrated on a community hole rather than some of his unknown spots.

What some don't think about there are people that made plans to be there before the Elite guys even thought about going there. I also think some of the Pro guys play the bent pole pattern on the locals and then run up on them on tourney day and claim they found that spot. If you watch the first couple days Zona said the locals are out how does he know there local?

I have also been to Amistad during the Opens and had Pro's run up on me after catching 20+ pounds so its not just the local guys playing that role. Yes they are making a living but it there choice and they are only there for 4 days but there are people that are in the same boat and only there for 4 days as well why should they give up there fishing and watch? I don't agree if they run in on them but if they where already there then so be it.

I respect all bass waters. I have caught 1 two pound bass this year and I profusely apologized to the poor creature as I slipped it back in the lake.

pro or not the bent pole pattern has been going on for years and nobody is immune to it. It isn't bass fishing but I can still remember being about 8 years old and carry 4 limits of redfish across the parking lot in Rockport with my sister to the cleaning station while my mom and dad followed behind a few minutes behind us and having guides coming up to us kids asking where we caught these fish. We'd been catching em all week, limiting out everyday and they knew it so they thought they'd sneak in there and take advantage of some lil kids. Luckily dad told us not to say a word to em.... They eventually found us and it turned into a boat show the rest of the time we were there.

Because it's quite obvious

So you don't appreciate that behavior, either? The pros poaching YOUR holes?

I don't agree if they run in on them.

What was your point, again?
