My buddy his son and I are looking to put the kid on some major bed fishing. He really enjoyed it the other day but the spawn is just about over on the lake that's easiest to catch them at. I'm looking for a lake in texas that will have loads of bed fish in the next 2 weeks. Where is it?

After the temps last night and tonight...no lakes around here for a few days. Watch the forecast. 80F in a few days. Could be on everywhere in 2 weeks.

Lake LBJ right now!!! We caught good fish on beds last weekend there and some were locked on some weren't. Water was 62 to 64 degrees!! Go up near the Colorado River and look for shallow cut-ins or coves.

Not sure where you're at Z-8, but Athens has ALWAYS been a great bed fishing lake, it's clearer than most and has a great population of big fish.

Head to the dam, the cove to your right of the damn usually has 'em. Start on the rocks of the dam and stay WAY off, where the rocks turn to dirt, start looking. Fish the entire area as if they're on beds but you can't see 'em. There will be some visible, but there are usually some big ones that aren't. Same goes for the cove just north of the marina. Fluke, senko or kut tail fished weightless in these areas will get you bit on the ones you can't see.

Ya Toledo is loaded with bass on the beds. Better have some good glass though cause alot of the big girls are deeper
