Hook a raisin on a short shank hook and that will work too. I have caught thousands of channel cats that way along with a few blues.

Using a stick or not your going to get it on your hands. I take a rag and figure I will spend time in bath when I get home. Try some under the arm pits and see what you catch LOL Just Kidding. Just get used to it LOL the stuff works under a bubble just fine and as others have said if your not getting bits in 15min time to move and this could be as little as 20ft or so.

Pick up some Danny kings punch bait for big blues. The bait will stay on hook for long time with slip cork.

I use the metal fondue forks. They come with all the chep Fondue sets. Also you can add cattails to thicken if it gets too loose. Or a tab of oil if gets to dry.
If im not fishing im Bi*chin that id rather be!

Rebait every twenty minutes or so If you are having to fish 20 minutes w/ punch bait under a cork...you ain't fishing in the right spot!
