A cold front is coming peaked on Friday. That probably will change the status again.

I'm not sure when I'll get to the Yegua again. This Saturday I'm planning a trip up to the Brazos river below lake Whitney if all goes as planned. Maybe I'll take a day off next week and yak the Yegua again. There are fish to be caught and hungry folks to feed wink

Yesterday's Catch 4-16-2013

Fished Newman Bottom yesterday 3-till dark, Total count 17 keeper Whites(11"-16") caught on 1/16th oz. white crappie jigs and 1" white curly-tail grubs with pink 1/16th oz. jigheads.

I caught 11 and friend of mine(first time ever, creek fishing for whites) caught 6...
Probally would have caught more, but spent about half the time teaching my (newbie-fisherman)friend the right Technique to fish small jigs in tight area...
And to keep from catching Tree-fish and Log-fish grin

Left the house at noon...
Finally 3 hours later, get to Newman's Bottom...Usually takes me about half that time...
Hwy 21 North bound out of Bastrop halfway to 290 was closed, due to bad wreck...bang
Had to go back to 95 in Bastrop to get to Elgin to get to hwy 290 to get to Giddings.

16" female, all the rest were males

10 of the 11 I caught....11"-16"
Fish dinner at my Mom's tomorrowclap

We need to make another trip to the creek reel soon before the heat of summer sets in!
