Ocassionally we humans tend to make some stupid mistakes. Unfortunately I was reminded of this yesterday and its a mistake I wont soon forget. As a buddy of mine and I were fishing some local ponds I decided to set one of my flippin rods down and walk over to a different area and fish some. We ended up circling the place and it wasn't until we showed up to our next water hole that i realized I was missing something. Yeah, I left my 250 plus dollar set up on the ground at a pond. Went back for it and it was gone. $250 may not be alot for some of you but as a full time college student I was livid with myself. What upsets me the most is this pond never has anyone there, and if there is im nearly positive they dont know the value of what they just found. Local parks and rec hasnt heard anything. I will never make that mistake again...

Thats to bad, but if thats the worst you ever do count yourself lucky..
Was it a big pond? The ones here you would of seen if someone else was there. If the bait was still in the water maybe a 16lber drug it in.
