It's finally time for me to retire my lucky fishing hat (Titlest golf hat) that has been in service for about a decade. I have been looking for one of those clima-cool mesh back hats that I see all of the cool kids wearing on the Cabela's tourney trail and can't seem to track them down. They look really comfortable and breathable for summer time.

I would prefer one that is fitted vs a velcro strap if possible as I have a little head. One size fits all hats look goofy on me.

Let me clarify, I was looking for a cap, not a Booney hat.

Go to a feed store get a wayne feed cap... they are adjustable and vented....they do have a tall crown, but they don't look like a condom with a bill on your head!

I would agree with you , but then we would both be WRONG !!!!!

If you like to fish tournaments, then fish the upcoming tourney on Ray Bob in April and you will get a nice Bass Champs mesh hat when you register. Other than that, most of the mesh hats I've seen have gone away which is weird because I love them. I've got several from Gene Larew. If they happen to send me some more I will send you a PM and get one to you.

Columbia make some awesome caps with mesh and all their cool-tech stuff. And they don't look too bad. It might cost $30 but it will last forever.

I get several yearly from salespeople here in the oilfield but I still like my Lonestar feed caps you can pick up at any feed store that sells Lonestar feed.

I don't know who makes these for Daiwa but mine is black and I wore it last summer in all the heat and never got hot, plus its washable.

I wear the $3 mesh hats from Bass Pro Shops - usually tan. Lightweight and cool. At that price, you can replace them when they get looking too bad!

In memory of my childhood friend Dan Sterling, who taught me at an early age how to catch bream with a hand-line, and who unknowingly hooked me on fishing for life.

I also use the feed store hats and just let the wife sew on the Skeeter patch over the writing.

+1 My wife bought me one for Christmas. It's the most comfortable hat I've ever worn
