Wow Bassthumb thanks! I was just looking for some tips. I have not gotten it figured out this year. I don't fish in the winter for obvious reasons. It might be a little combersome fishing in a wet suit. Don I do remember you I just like to keep some distance when I potlick. I get a lot of thumbs up for getting out there with my setup but I don't forget I am on a ski. I relize that most fishermen, not all, don't like us on the lake. I try to be as respectful as I can. I also don't have a trolling motor so if I drift towards a boater my choice is to drift by or fire up......I usually drift by so as not to scare the fish. Man that little boat drifts like it has a sail on it. Thanks for the help and Bassthumb message sent! Newcastle

newcastle, you should try anchoring. shouldn't take much weight to hold you.

Maybe a drift sock....It wouldn't have to be very big to slow you down.

Mark I do use an anchor. I put it in a bucket and tie it to the rack. If you see a red rack floating on the water its because I forgot to pull anchor. I think I was anchored to deep. I was targeting 30-35' of water. I pretty much have everything I need except fish under me I guess. I have thought about a drift sock but it gets clumsy enough on there. I have thought about a 5 gallon bucket on a rope? I have not tried it yet. It's a work in progress and has it's limitations but a lot of fun.

Thanks Jason! I hope it was funny ha ha. If not oh well. The guy on extreme fishing got his information from a guy on the east coast. He goes by the name Jet Ski Brian on the jet ski forum. He is quite the celebrity On the left coast. Here is a link, I hope it works. He is quite the photographer.Enjoy! www.greenhulk.net/forums/showthread.php?t=190750
