Im from Arkansas and would like to visit the Fork area in a couple months. I have a 26' camper and like to stay somewhere with water/electric, that it's OK to build a small campfire and enjoy camp. I looked for something like a state park but didn't see one around lake fork. Anyone have any ideas i sure would like to hear!

First, give thanks to God.

State Park at Bob Sandlin is really nice and even though you are close to Fork you are also right there at Lakes Bob Sandlin, Cypress Springs and Monticello.

Purtis Creek's pier is as good as it gets for those who like to fish piers. Also you will not get run over by a boat there as its idle only!!

Lake Fork Marina has campsites that are on the water with full hook ups. Located on Hwy 17 just south of its intersection with hwy 515. Go south on 514 at Sulphur Springs, east on 515, and south on 17. App. 20 miles from Sulphur Srings. No problem with campfires as far as I know. It is a nice place with a restaurant and store as well as motel. Their prices are reasonable. My friends have camped there a couple of different times and were happy with it. They have a website.
