I agree with the artificial bait over the shad and would add that a 3 inch Gulp Alive Black Shad will catch 5 fish for every one caught on plastic. Until you try it, you will never believe the difference. The problem is finding them. They look like a ghost minnow and not a shad shape. I use a 1/8 oz. jig and reel it back slow. With these you will have Tight Lines.

Need a bit more water for me to run a night trip, I like at least 2 feet of water under the lights and right now lake is a tad over 3 ft. low.
Bring on the rain.

I agree with Billy, I won't be doing any night trips until the water comes back up. Also yes on the black baits you will hook twice as much if not more. I'll be out there Saturday, fishing during the day though.
