I have no problem with you taking his keys, and I can't stand a thief, but I hope you left a note in his truck or you may never hear from the guy.

No - his other choice is to call Grapevine police and report the situation. Maybe Justin Debose will be the responding officer. Justin can show him this thread from his Iphone...See pretty simple

I admire your character and actions for not going overboard, but please do not lower yourself to his level. Although you may have video and he may be guilty, taking his key puts you in a situation also. He can easily say you removed other things from his truck or even damaged it in some way. I have even seen situations like this turn physical. The worst feeling is to have to defend yourself when you feel your actions are just. Maybe it would have been easier to leave your number and told him to call you or you would have turned the video into authorities. Sometimes to get justice we have to take a higher road than the thief. I am not saying this is the best solution, just an option. Good luck with this situation and I hope the person learned his lesson.

If you took his keys from his truck you both committed the same offense ....just saying

Now he deserves the wrath of public humiliation no doubt....but......

Im sorry but if you are leaving your truck in a public place with seemingly valuable stuff in the back, you are asking for something like this to happen. I mean really? Do you go park your truck and boat at Walmart and leave all your fishing gear out while you go in?

Don't get me wrong guys im not sympathizing with the thief at all, regardless if someone leaves something out it doesnt make it right to steal it. Im just wondering why it was left out in the first place if it was so valuable to him?

Maybe it wasn't that valuable at all but it still doesn't give somebody a right to take it. A theif is a theif no matter the value.
