Can you guys give me some recommendations for a good reel to put on a Dobyns Champion Glass Crank Rod 7' Md/Hvy MF 705

Daiwa Zillion Crazy Cranker, TD it๖, Pixy, Pixzilla, 103M, Ryoga... Just about any Daiwa.

Lots of good ones out there but I love the lews reels over any of my others reels, matter of I just about have all my other reels replaced with a lews

Lews SS1H. ~6.4:1 you can find these on ebay pretty reasonably priced. great little gems! lews example on ebay

For no heavier baits you will be throwing with this rod use the reel you like. Don't really need a "speciality" reel( ie:heavy gears, low gear ratio...). Enjoy!

If you have a spare reel with a 6-1 gear ratio that should work just fine.
Daiwa Lexa
Lews Tourmanemt Pro
Shimano Citica
Any of these three work well also.

Good o'l Shimano E5 is a workhorse, can't say enough good things about it, can hold a lot of line, smooth like butter with little maintenance
Also my Revo winch has been good to me after almost 2 years, deep spool and very, very smooth.
Just my 2 cents.

nother vote for lews speed spool, id go 5.4:1 on this cranking rod though, eventhough it's not deep cranking, people forget to slow the trap/crankbait down sometimes, and this reel will help you remember
