Who else has seen the alligators on the banks lately at Fork.

I have spent a lot of time on Lake Fork and never saw an alligator, I have seen two in last 3 weeks. They are very cool to see on the banks and would make a very nice pair of boots and purse. smile I had no problem swimming anywhere on the lake in the past. I am thinking I will only swim in the middle of the lake. (Please do not tell me they go out in the middle.) OMG those things can move very fast…

I have only been going to fork for a few months. I've seen about 30 alligators in this short amount of time. Of the 30, 26 of them have been in the middle of the lake.

I spent a great deal of time researching the strain of gators that reside in East Texas and have determined they are the "man eater" variety, so be careful.

What's funny is everyone told Allie there were gators in Fork and she didn't believe. I'll choot one this April and make you a gator skin tackle box!

Gators will very rarely occupy an area that has a lot of human interaction. The more public the less likely it is that a lot of gators will be present. They are also capable of smimming to the middle. I hate to be the one that breaks it to you but it was going to happpen sooner or later smile

I guess that makes Fork off limits to my two man inflatable pontoon boat. I hate Alligators.

They have been up there for years. The first one I saw I was in my tube. That was a little freaky but he didn't bother me.

I seem to recall that shooting gators w/o a specific gator license is a huge fine unless it is halfway up your leg and still hungry. Here in Tx I will add. Just don't pet them but just tickle them under their chin they cannot see under their jaw. But don't take my word for it, I aint chucking one under its chin

lots of gators in east tx lakes. Rayburn has a good population, livingston is full of em, and Kruth has more per acre than any other I bet!

I love the gators at my area lakes keeps me focused and they are more scared of you than you are of them and they do go to the middle of the lake quite often but will not harm you in deep water . And there was a man who drowned at choke this past year in the middle of the lake gators didn't touch him . And a little tip don't know about fork but at choke an old timer there taught me this pattern find the gators and you will find the bass . Most reliable tip ever got about choke canyon.

they are everywhere in the back of Little Caney, you can count 100's after dark in there!

Beware of big Al, she lives back there and is close to 15ft, NO BS here, I've seen her a 100 times but you won't be able in the middle of the day. GO FROG kigging back there at night with a spot light, ALL you see are red eyes crossing the water.
