I have caught Hundreds Of Rios out of New Orleans city Park and can say hands down A bluegill fights much better than a Rio.

It's all a matter of opinion. Bluegill are a hard fighting fish but as previous stated I personally like the fight of a Rio much better. duel New Orleans has some Monster Rios. I have never fished there but would love to do so one of these days. fish

The Houston area is loaded with Rios. They are a warm water fish and are usually found in South, East,West, Lower Central, and the Hill Country of Texas. Good fighting fish and also very good eating. Conroe should have a good population of Rios. coolio

I disagree, but to each his own. I would rather catch a Rio than a BG of the same size any day. Rios seem to fight much harder. I will target a Rio bed for hours to get them to bite(I'm also using fly gear) and the fight is amazing pound for pound.
